GroupSignal vs Otomizer

Both are Chrome extensions that read the Facebook groups you've joined through your own account, and both use AI to find posts from people asking for what you offer. Otomizer also writes replies and can post them for you. GroupSignal finds the posts, explains why each matched, and leaves the reply to you.

Replying to posts

Otomizer drafts a reply to each match in a voice you set up for your business. In Monitor mode, the default, you approve each reply. An optional mode comments for you automatically, with a minimum and maximum wait between comments, a cap on how many it posts and checks that the same reply never posts twice, and it pauses if Facebook slows things down. Otomizer's own advice is to start in Monitor mode for a week before turning that mode on.

GroupSignal writes no replies and never posts, comments, reacts or sends messages. It shows you each matching post with the reason it matched, and you open it on Facebook and answer in your own words (how to reply within a group's rules).

What each does on your account

Both use the Facebook account signed in to your Chrome, so your login stays in your browser and both can read private groups you're in. Otomizer reads your groups and, when its commenting mode is on, comments as you. GroupSignal only reads: just the groups you choose, one at a time with pauses between pages and between groups, at a steady pace you can't speed up, and it waits longer whenever Facebook asks it to slow down. No tool can promise how Facebook treats an account, because Facebook sets and enforces its own rules.

How they find posts

Otomizer watches for keywords and negative keywords, which it suggests from a sentence about your business, then scores each matching post from 0 to 10 for buying intent. Posts scoring below 5 are skipped, and Hot posts show first. GroupSignal uses no keywords: you write who and what to find, and what to ignore, and AI reads every new post against that, by meaning and in any language, with the reason for each match (why keywords miss posts).

When they check

Otomizer says it monitors continuously, not in periodic scans. GroupSignal reads your groups continuously too, one after another at a steady pace, and alert times vary. Both need Chrome open and signed in to Facebook. When Chrome opens again, GroupSignal catches up on posts from up to the last 24 hours, and Sosaly shows any gap it couldn't cover.

Where you review matches

Otomizer puts matched posts in its dashboard at app.otomizer.com, labeled Hot, Warm or Cold. GroupSignal sends matches to your inbox at sosaly.com, on any signed-in device, including your phone, with a browser alert on the computer that found them. You can save a match to follow up, and send matches to Zapier or Make.

What they cost

Otomizer Pro, its one plan, is $89/month for monitoring across all your Facebook groups, reply drafting and its commenting mode. Its pricing page lists no free trial, and a monthly plan's first charge is refundable within 7 days if no more than 10% of its AI reply allowance was used. GroupSignal is $10/month for five group slots and $2/month for each extra slot, up to 25, so 25 groups in one monitor cost $50/month. It has a 7-day free trial, no card required.

Which to choose

  • Otomizer if you want replies written for you, or posted for you, or you watch more than 25 groups.
  • GroupSignal if you'd rather answer in your own words with a tool that never acts on your account, want posts matched by meaning without keywords and an inbox you can check from your phone, and want a lower price.
